Meta Data

To be included in the topic from my post dated January 25th Link Here you must put your meta data into your template to maximize your potential on the directory sites.

Once you have registered your URL on the sites listed on the January 25th post, they will send out their spiders to crawl your blog. They will be searching for keywords in the meta data area of your template. So, this information would be good to add prior to registering your URL. If you have already registered your URL, add this meta data now.

Note: Obviously, customize it to reflect your own information for your own weblog.

These meta elements go inside the head section of your template: See Picture

Once you have republished (or published for the first time) your blog, the search engines will pick up these keywords. It takes time for them to pick them up. It may take months for some. However, over the long-term, this data will help to increase your traffic and effectiveness from publishing your blog in the directories listed on my above mentioned post.
